Solid Ground Engineering, LLC is hiring for immediate seasonal work. (Now thru early / mid-December).

Job title: Field Technician I (Street Preservation)

Technicians must:
- Be able to stand or walk for several hours each day.
- Be able to document data in a company-provided tablet.
- Be able to write a short narrative of each day's activities.
- Be aware of surroundings at all times.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Have an insurable driving record.
- Have a strong work ethic.
- Provide references.

Technicians can choose which days / how many days of the week they would like to work. (Coordinate with scheduler/dispatcher.)

All work will take place in temperatures above 40 degrees. No work in inclement weather. All work takes place in Kansas City. Company vehicles are provided each work day. Overtime paid for weekends, major holidays, and hours between 6pm and 7am (when available). PTO and health care stipends for full-time employees.

Starting pay: $18/hr + (additional pay for each year of experience in the construction industry)

It was a rainy day with lots of canceled inspections, so we seized the opportunity to have a company lunch! Yes, we are an engineering / inspection company in the construction industry. Yes, you are seeing 5 women and only 1 man in this photo! Okay, so a couple of guys couldn't make it today, but even if they came, they still would have been outnumbered! I love it!! (Andrew doesn't seem to mind being in the minority at my company!) Girl power!! 😀

Last week we wrapped up structural steel inspections for this historic building project. We were honored to be a part of it! This building, called Flashcube, is located in downtown KCMO and will house 184 luxury apartments and some retail space. The building is set to open on July 15, 2020!
