When my creative, musical husband passed, he left a very large inventory of musical instruments behind. There was an entire room of guitars, amplifiers, sound boards and speakers. ('s Guitars in Englewood) And....an entire workshop filled with drums, supplies and drum shells!
Not that drums were not scattered everywhere, speakers, microphones, hand drums, flutes and guitars as well.
There was an abundance to say the least π€£ and actually there still is...because so many are dear to me. π
Many of the instruments were in a climate controlled area, however some of the drums needed to be reheaded. Many were never played and brand new. There were instruments from Landry Land, a place we often went "in the beginning" where we drummed, danced, sang, ate and sat around the fire. Flashes of joy of days gone by fill my heart. As a family we joined in celebration, in love and we became, "TRIBE."
NDC TRIBE, the name Bobaloo gave us, way back when. Back then Tribe belongings that were dear, were passed to Tribe members so their spirit could live on in the Tribe. There are many of us that still "hold" that space for our dearly loved Tribe members.
Today, I would like to say a big Thank YOU to one of our newer Tribe members who helped me ReAwaken so many of the beautiful EarthSong Drums my husband created and to bring New life to the many drums of the days gone by.
Because of his help, "The Beat Goes On." (Ohm)
Gar Scott, with huge love and gratitude for YOU! π
