The picture below was taken several years ago by a customer. He was so pleased with the quality, efficiency, and professionalism of the crew that he asked to take a picture of them. He didn't want to forget. Now that the person who took this picture is retired, do the people there now remember the great service we gave them? Likely not. They are looking at what we do today and weighing that against any other options they have. Customer service, quality work, professionalism, and safety (which ranks highest), are what customers want to receive. Price is important, but if they aren't getting the best value for the dollar, customers will quickly consider other options. This is why Amtrac's goal is to be the very best company it can be. If we fail in some way or the customer is not satisfied, we come back and make it right and try to learn how to do better. We want to keep our people working. The best way to do that is to keep doing our jobs with excellence so that customers want Amtrac Ohio LLC and nobody else.

First we want to thank everyone for their interest and for sharing our recent post about available positions at Amtrac. That being said we also experienced a couple of minor negative results that we want to avoid, so let us spell out the following:
1) Everyone is free to comment on the original posts we make as well as share them, but please keep that as positive as possible. If you feel the need to be negative, please save that for your own news-feed posts. If you don't want us to see something, don't post it publicly but only so your friends can read it. See Facebook about how to do that.
2) On our posts, we welcome comments but we don't want any arguments or debates. We don't have time to moderate debates that turn into firestorm battles nor do we have time to read all of the brilliance that goes into those debates. Such comments will be (and were) deleted. If they start up again from the same person(s), they will be blocked from our page.
3) Regarding the discussion of wages that we advertise to potential employees, we are certainly aware that there are other jobs and careers out there that pay more, or pay less for much less effort. We have been doing this for just over 50 years and we know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two. If you can get a better job elsewhere, please go get it and realize that we don't need to read your expert analysis on wages or your brilliant thoughts on economics. Go post it on your own FB news-feed where someone who is interested can read it.
4) Employees of Amtrac should feel free to ask whatever questions they have by contacting our main office, or by asking their supervisor who can ask our main office, or by asking their mother to call in to our main office if the other options seem too scary. However, if you merely ask questions on Facebook when you have shared our posts, it is possible that we may not notice your questions.

Putting the finishing touches on this project where about 7,000 feet of yard tracks and 5 switches were added to the facility.

A very satisfied customer requested a picture of the phenomenal team that did such an awesome job on their project. Amtrac is grateful for all the hard working folks on our crews!

Coming to the end of another new track construction project. Here are a couple of pictures before we finish and before tracks are full of rail-cars. Crews on all projects are out doing their best in this heat. Thankful for the work they are doing and for the projects we have for them to work on.

Often we share pictures on this page of the railroad tracks that we have recently built or repaired. Please be aware that we are taking these pictures under controlled circumstances when we have permission and know for certain that a train is not coming on the tracks where we are taking photos. For your own safety, please do not take pictures while standing on, or within 25 feet of a railroad track. If you are NOT a railroad worker with specific permission to be near a railroad track, stay away from railroad tracks – they are dangerous. Please watch the linked video.

Problems often show up at night or at some other inconvenient time, just like the broken rail pictured on the lower left. For track problems, don’t hesitate to call us – we’ll get there as soon as we can.

Here's a design/build project that we just recently finished up near Moundsville, WV. We installed a new switch in existing track, a new spur track (pictured on the left), and a pour-in-place concrete crossing (by Moser Concrete Construction).
