Performance Bodies continues the lap 4 Tribute to Mike Clark at the Casey’s Turkey Bowl XV Saturday, November 19 & 20.

Casey’s Turkey Bowl XV, a tribute to Mike Clark, has a little more added meaning in Lap 4. Cedar Falls, Iowa based Performance Bodies Company adds $400 to the leader of Lap 4 in the Modified Main Event in memory of Mike Clark.On Lap 4 all Fans will be asked to stand & raise 4 fingers in the air to honor the late Mike Clark.”There are a big list of us Drivers Jerry Hoffman stated that owe Mike a big Thank You because if it wasn’t for him we couldn’t of raced the way we did way back then.” Back in the day when Mike raced he always displayed the #4 on the side of his Dirt Car as he raced throughout the Midwest. Mike decided to park his Dirt Car in the 80’s & purchase the modified chassis company known as Dirt Works Race Cars . Mike & his crew drove the Modified Company to be the largest in the country building 200 plus Modifieds a year in the 90’s and early 2000’s ..DirtWorks RaceCars wasn’t only the largest but was probably the fastest car on the the market & everywhere you looked all over the country you would see a Dirt Works Modified in victory lane. Scott Braun the owner of Performance says “ Basically our 2 companies grew up together , Dirt Works Race Cars helped us grow our business to be what it is today, not only am I thankful for the big orders placed by Dirt Works but for the friendship Mike & I had through the years”.......

Casey’s Turkey Bowl XV presented by Bad Boy Mowers at the Springfield Raceway should be on every Race Fans calendar for Friday November 19 & Saturday November 20.Over $57,000 in prize money will be up for grabs as Drivers travel from all across the country to win some cash & go TURKEY HUNTING to take the prized one of a kind Turkey Trophy home. Legendary Nascar Star Kenny Schrader says,” These days Trophies are hard to win & My Turkey Bowl XIII trophy that I won in 2010 means alot to him & it hangs from the ceiling in my race shop located in St. Louis Missouri. Open Late Models top the card with a Turkey Bowl Main Event Paying $5,000 to Win & $500 to start.Pure Stocks under area rules have been added to Casey’s Turkey Bowl XV for a one day show heat & Turkey Bowl Main on Friday Night paying $500 to Win & $100 to start. B Mods ,MW A Class,MW B Class, & Legends will run heat races on Friday night.Friday night there will be a test & tune for all classes including A Mods & Latemodels.Saturday IMCA/USRA/UMP type Modifieds & Latemodels will run heats ,B mains & a Turkey Bowl Main Event. B Mods, MW A Class, MW B Class & Legends will run their B Mains & Turkey Bowl Main on Saturday.

Turkey Bowl has become a must go to event for Race Fans & Drivers.Great Racing, A Great Payout , A Great Trophy , A Great Happy Gilmore check, A bottle of Wild Turkey, Huntin a nice trophy girl & a chance to celebrate your Casey’s Turkey Bowl XV Main Event in shooting a firework off in Watson Metal Masters Victory Lane one last time closing out the 2021 Racing Season.Turkey Bowl is a great time to get your last race track burger as you enjoy comradery with racing friends one last time at the dirt track in 2021.Turkey Bowl has grew from a one day event having 199 cars to a 2 day event with 282 cars signed in last year.

Due to the growing number of entries in the past Springfield Raceway will open Thursday November 18 for Pit Parking & a test & tune to ALL classes.The 2 front rows of pit spots are sold to weekly Drivers .The rest of the pits are open for free parking.If you think you have a special spot you want to park you can reserve it on a first come first serve for $100 ( this is not mandatory to reserve… only if you want to reserve your special spot… you must message the Springfield Raceway to reserve your spot.) All tow rigs will be escorted to a pit parking spot depending on the length of your Trailer.

A Camping/RV area has been added in the pit area for free. To reserve a
spot you must message the Springfield Raceway page to get a Camping number. There are no hookups. Do not dump your Camper/RV in my pits. Thanks

For the 2021 Racing Season Springfield Raceway has added a Westhold Timing & Scoring System.The top 10 in the running order will be displayed on the O’reilly timing & scoring located in turn 2. Drivers if you have a Westhold Transponder you need to bring it. If you do not have a transponder you can rent one at the track for $15.

Springfield Raceway will be having our Wolfmans House of Screams Tribute to Reggie Pippin Wolfmans House of Screams Safe Trick or Treat for Breast Cancer Night presented by Buds Tire & Wheel & Wildcat Rentals Saturday , October 25th.The WAR Impact Non Winged Sprintcars will be heading the card on this night along with A Mods $500 to win $90 to start , B Mods $600 to win $45 to start , Midwest Modzs $175 to win $35 to start , Legends $225 to win $35 to start, Pure Stock $175 to win $ 30 to start.All kids wearing a costume from real Little bitty ones to age 12 will receive FREE General Admission.Adult General admission tickets are $15.00 , Seniors $13.00. As I say....we juss never know what tomorrow may or may not bring.....Reggie Pippin came by my shop last summer , he asked me if he could talk with me. I sayed sure.He sayed can we go in the office & set down. I sayed sure.Reggie sayed ...Jerry I got something to ask of you & I thought ...O... s**t what's this. He said Jerry I have cancer & I am not doing good & I have a favor to ask & he got real serious. I am not expected to live long....maybe a month , maybe a year & as you know Jerry ...I Love Racing & I Love my Spook House.I sayed yes Reggie I do know that.He said Jerry i watch what you have done at the Track & I want to be a part of the Springfield Raceway after I pass on. I sayed you aren't going anywhere Reggie .He sayed Yes i am Jerry & then things got real serious .He says ...Yes Jerry I won't be here long & I am Ready ......My life is in order & soon it will be time. We talked for a little while & I said that's good Reggie i am glad you are ready & that you believe.It liked to locked me up. I had a big lump in my throat & had to breathe juss a little before I could talk.Reggie then sayed after I die I would like you to have a Race each year to help promote my Love for Racing & My Love for the Spook House.....
