In my opinion, there are very few things in this world more satisfying than being able to build a car from scratch. Here's a little of my back story...
I was born in Georgia in '76 and moved to Florida when I was 8, where I've been ever since. Still not sure why...
* My first job was getting nasty doing service work with boats here in Orlando.
* I went on to work for FMC building & repairi
ng vehicles for the airline and fire fighting industries.
* Next, I went on to construction for awhile. Specifically, I performed concrete finishing and block work. We built houses and hotels all over the southeast of the US.
* I got off of the road to start building handicapped vehicles in Oviedo. I ended up running that shop for the company. I made extensive fab and electronic/hydraulic modifications to customer's rides to meet their mobility needs. I was on a short list of people that were capable of converting all driving controls to digit control systems in the state.
* I used my expertise from this job to jump into building ambulances at Wheeled Coach (REV Group), the largest manufacturer of rescue vehicles in the world. After starting as an assembler on the line, I worked my way through different departments. I ended up running the entire custom line which is where all of their most difficult/expensive trucks were built. I was able to move up to being the only QC inspector for that line. This made me 100% responsible for every nut, bolt, wire, light, and OEM part on every vehicle built. (DRAFT)
* It was while I was working at WC that I opened Paragon Customs in '03. I worked at the Coach at 6:00am til 2:30pm, and from 2:32pm until midnight at PC. I did that routine for 6 months before I made the switch to full-time at the shop.
