The Maintenance Technician must be flexible and able to adjust work procedures/hours to meet production needs.
The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspect and identify necessary repairs for processing equipment such as vacuum-packaging machines (Rollstock, Multivac, Ultravac flip-flop), mixers, grinders, patty machines, dicers, blockers, vat dumpers, strappers, labelers, scales, metal detectors, and conveyors. Equipment typical of a food production facility.
•Complete regular scheduled PMs of facility and processing equipment including replacement of parts (seals, bearings, O-rings, shafts, blades, etc.), oil and filter changes, equipment rebuilds and more.
•Respond to maintenance calls from the production floor, troubleshoot equipment and perform successful repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, general floor repair, repairing doors and other building fixtures.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.

· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
·Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
· The work environment characteristic described here is typical and or representative of what the employee may encounter during the work shift.
·Exposures to temperatures of an average of 28 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the work assignment.
· The employee may encounter wet floors or a damp area during the work shift
