There's nothing better than seeing a project move from concept to reality and then watching it do exactly what it was designed to do!

Lawson Cryogenic recently rolled the first trailer off the production line at its new manufacturing and repair facility in Gretna, Nebraska. For our team, that's the kind of moment that makes all the planning, coordination, and design work worthwhile.

Schemmer provided architecture and engineering services for this facility, helping create a space that streamlines the production process from raw materials to finished units. Today, that vision is becoming reality as trailers begin rolling out the door.

Congratulations to the Lawson Cryogenic team on this exciting milestone. We're proud to have been part of the journey and look forward to seeing what's next.

We weren't sure we were going to make it out there after the morning storms on Wednesday, but the weather eventually cooperated.

Members of our Omaha office recently spent part of the day cleaning up a stretch of the Keystone Trail. It was a great opportunity to get outside, work together, and help take care of a trail that thousands of people use throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and helped make the cleanup a success.

Schemmer’s Jason Heinze, PE, SE, LEED AP, Executive Vice President of the Architecture Division, and Hoang Le, Technology Specialist and leader of Schemmer’s reality capture efforts, are presenting at the 2026 South Dakota Physical Plant Directors’ Conference. Their session, “Beyond the Walkthrough: 3D Scanning Applications for SD Facilities,” explores how advanced 3D scanning technology is transforming the way facilities are documented, assessed, and managed. From laser scanning to scan-to-BIM workflows, this team brings real-world experience delivering these solutions across South Dakota and beyond. We are proud to have Jason and Hoang sharing their expertise with facility professionals across the state.
