Union Pacific Railroad’s Big Boy 4014 rolled into Omaha, and everywhere you looked there were people — kids, grandparents, lifelong railroaders, photographers, and first-time visitors — all standing together watching history breathe steam.
The massive scale grabs your attention first. Then the details take over. The polished rods. The weathered steel. The grease-covered machinery. The unmistakable sound of a machine built for another era.
