- If you can see light through the radius of your master link once it's seated in the bowl of the crane hook, the master link is TOO SMALL! This can cause premature wear of the crane hook and/or damage to the master link.

- OSHA 1910.184 requires a daily inspection of all alloy chain slings prior to use. Measure the thickness at the bearing point for excessive wear. If below the minimum allowable thickness, remove the chain sling from service.

- When lifting loads using multi-leg alloy chain slings, the hooks must be pointed away from the center of gravity. This will allow the hook to lift towards the back of the hook rather than towards the tip. This will also lessen the likelihood of the hook disengaging through the throat when in slack conditions if no retainer latch is present.

- When ordering or inspecting an alloy chain sling, always remember that the length is measured from the bearing point on the master link to the bearing of the bottom attachment. This measurement must be printed on the Chain Sling Certificate and stamped or engraved onto the chain sling identification tag in feet and inches.

Job Description:
We have an immediate opening for a inside sales/outside sales/customer service rep. This position will require generating sales through current customers and new customers. The position will also require assisting walk in customers. The position will include around 100-150 accounts that are already doing business and commission will be paid on those accounts as well as any new accounts the employee can generate. The position will also require the employee to maintain around 100 house accounts. Strong math skills are a must and the ability to use a tape measure and learn to use other measurement devices. Experience in the lifting/rigging industry is a major plus.
