This is why our customers appreciate the distance and depth we go when rebuilding hydraulic cylinders.

This Altec extension cylinder wasn’t just “repacked.” It was completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, inspected component by component, resealed, and rebuilt the right way to last. Every seal, wear ring, backup ring, and O-ring was changed — nothing gets reused in our shop.

Counterbalance valves fully gone through and resealed, threads cleaned, parts polished, tolerances inspected, and everything bench tested before it leaves the door. Big cylinders or small cylinders, we treat them all the same.

Too many shops rush hydraulic repairs just to get equipment out the door. We take pride in doing it correctly the first time so our customers can depend on their equipment when it matters most.

1945 American Pacemaker lathe. 81 years old and still stronger than a lot of new machines being built today.

First pass: .250 cutSecond pass: .300 cut

The material wasn’t even butted against the back of the chuck and there was absolutely no vibration in the tool post. This machine just loads up and keeps cutting.

Built during the war-production era when American machines were designed to run hard every day without complaint. Heavy cast iron, massive rigidity, and enough torque to do jobs most modern machines won’t touch.

These old Pacemakers were built in the same class as the legendary Monarch lathes — made for serious work, not light-duty production.

This machine will easily take a 1/2” cut in steel and never hesitate.

Old American iron still earning its reputation decades later.

Like and follow the shop for more heavy machining, vintage equipment, and old iron still making chips every day.

This is a solid example of doing things the right way.

These Peterson Lightning Loader outrigger and claw extension cylinders came in worn out from real-world use—constant dirt, debris, and harsh operating conditions from city and county equipment.

We don’t just throw seals in and send it.

Every cylinder is completely torn down, cleaned, and prepped properly:
• All parts cleaned of rust and contamination
• Barrels honed to remove wear and restore sealing surfaces
• Rods polished to eliminate imperfections
• Head glands sand blasted polished/cleaned
•Instead of reusing worn components, we upgraded where it matters:
• Heavy-duty brass rod scraper wipers to keep debris out. •One piece head gland seals instead of inning and backups.
• Anti-extrusion rod seals for longevity
• Heavy-duty piston U-seals
• New cast iron pistons replacing worn, scarred aluminum

This is the difference between a quick reseal and a rebuild built to last.

These machines work every day in the worst conditions. When they go back out, they need to hold up—not come back leaking for a long time.

That’s the standard we build to.

650K John Deere dozer angle cylinder came into the shop with a broken stub on the rod. Customer brought in a brand new OEM rod, not realizing we could’ve built one in-house cheaper and just as fast 💸⏱️

We tore it down, gave it much needed sand blasted and proper cleaning and installed factory packing kit. Reassembled rod assembly and angle cylinder, finished it off with a fresh factory-style paint job 🎨👌

Back to work the way it should be—solid, reliable, and built to last 🇺🇸

Haven’t posted in a bit, but it’s been busy over here.

From teardown to rebuild, this is just a small look at what’s been coming through the shop. Worn barrels, damaged rods, failed packing… we’re getting them cleaned up, machined right, and put back into service the way they should be.

We appreciate all the customers and support. As we keep growing, the quality of our work and the knowledge behind it shows more every day.

If it’s hydraulic, we can handle it.
