CJA was proud to be part of Deep Foundations Institute’s Equipment Rodeo in January—an initiative focused on bringing awareness to careers in the skilled trades and giving students real, hands-on exposure to the industry.
Students had the opportunity to operate forklifts, cranes, drill rigs, excavators, and more. They also spent time with our welders learning torching and welding techniques and visited a geotechnical station to learn about liquefaction.
The group also visited Associated General Contractors of America in Lakeside to try out equipment simulators and explore additional construction technology.
Stations were hosted by CJA, Volco, CAT, Marco Crane, and AGC, with volunteers from Keller, Malcolm, Alliance, and many others helping make the day possible.
It was a great day of learning, exploration, and introducing students to the opportunities within the trades.
A special shout out to Jessica for helping steer CJA’s participation!
