The roots of Team Condor started back in 2007, as a two man team, who built a fire-spitting, wide-body, turbo-powered BMW 1988 325is for the Grassroots Motorsports Challenge. Two guys with a passion for E30's. After designing a simple solution to delete the power steering on their E30 challenge car. We began selling the deletes on the forums, as well as designing E30 T-shirts & calendars. Eventually, the proceeds helped fund a trip to the 2011 Ultimate Track Car Challenge at Virginia International Raceway. There continued to be a need for more parts, and we continued to satisfy that need with quality parts at affordable prices. Now Condor Speed Shop offers a full line of engine, drive-train and suspension components for E10, E30, Z3, Z4, E36, E46 & E87 chassis. We test all our parts on the tracks and the streets of south Florida before refining them enough to pass them on to you. All parts are made in the USA.

A throwback to Josh Love's E36 325is from a few years back.⁠

LS3 power, a dogbox transmission, Winters quick-change rear end, and plenty of Condor parts underneath. This E36 was built for serious drifting.⁠

put it to good use, winning the 2019 Drift Colorado Championship and earning his Formula Drift Pro2 license that same year.⁠
⁠

Is this the ugliest BMW Art Car?⁠
⁠
The fifth BMW Art Car was painted by Viennese artist Ernst Fuchs in 1982. It was the first Art Car based on a production BMW and the first created by a European artist.⁠
⁠
Fuchs airbrushed the E24 635 CSi himself, calling his creation "Firefox on Harehunt." Underneath the artwork sits a 3.4-liter inline-six producing 218 bhp. Unlike the earlier racing Art Cars, this one was created as a static exhibit and never raced.⁠
⁠
It's certainly one of the more controversial designs in the collection. What do you think? A masterpiece or the ugliest BMW Art Car?⁠

Another Throwback. This one is the 2024 Ojibwe Forests Rally, where Matt Nykanen and co-driver Lars Anderson turned a costly pace-note mistake into an incredible comeback.⁠

Behind the wheel of their Condor-equipped E36 325i, the GravelWerx team fought their way back to build a 37-second lead in the regional standings, eventually finishing 1st overall in the regional event and 6th overall nationally.⁠

Worn factory transmission mounts allow the drivetrain to move under load, which can make shifting less precise during hard driving.⁠

Art Car Spotlight: 1989 BMW M3 by Ken Done.⁠
⁠
In 1989, Australian artist Ken Done transformed a Group A E30 M3 into the eighth BMW Art Car, covering it in bright colors inspired by Australia's tropical landscapes, parrots, and parrotfish.⁠
⁠
But this M3 had a racing history before it became a work of art. Driven by Jim Richards for the JPS-BMW Team, it won the 1987 Australian Group A Drivers' Championship.⁠

Underneath the paint was a proper race car: a 2.3-liter S14 four-cylinder producing around 300 horsepower.⁠
⁠

For those of you at VIR this weekend, here are some tips and tricks to keep in your back pocket. ⁠
⁠
Turn 4: A slightly later apex sets you up for Turn 5 and the long run uphill. Don't sacrifice the exit trying to carry too much speed into the corner.⁠
⁠
Uphill Esses: Your line through Turn 7 sets up the entire section. Stay left a little longer before turning into Turn 8 to get the car pointed up the hill.⁠
⁠
Oak Tree: Focus on the exit. The back straight is long, and getting on the power cleanly out of Turn 12 pays off all the way down it.⁠
⁠
Hogpen: Position the car left of center before turning into Turn 17. This opens up the corner and lets you carry more speed onto the front straight.⁠
⁠

A look at Hans-Joachim Stuck, one of BMW Motorsport’s most legendary drivers.⁠

As a kid, Stuck learned his way around the Nürburgring sitting on cushions just to reach the pedals. By nineteen, he had won the inaugural Nürburgring 24 Hours in a BMW 2002.⁠

From Spa and Formula 1 to the legendary BMW M1 Procar series, Stuck experienced some of the greatest years in BMW Motorsport history from behind the wheel.⁠
