Our June employee spotlight goes to Keith W. Keith has been with O’Fallon Casting for 17 years. His brother also worked for O’Fallon Casting when it was Hitchner in the 80’s. Keith had dedicated his career with us in the Rough Inspection department of Grind. Grind is a crucial secondary operation that removes excess metal, smooths surface imperfections, and ensures that the part meets strict dimensional tolerances.

“It takes a lot for me to quit. I love figuring out how to best get a gate out of geometrically intricate part and I always aim to achieve the tightest tolerances.”

Through all his tenacious hard work, knowledge, and experience Keith has been able to excel in his department as a Grind Specialist, Level 4. Both his floor and department supervisors share the same appreciation;

“Keith has been an excellent employee and is very knowledgeable in his position as Head Grinder. His training and leadership have made the Grind Department better in so many ways. We are glad to have him; this recognition is well deserved.”

Speaking to Keith you can hear his passion and see the special care he puts into his work. He loves to help whenever he can, which has also led him to be our “Grind Tour Guide” in our IC-201 classes.

Keith calls himself an outdoorsman, and you can find him on is boat fishing or anything on the water when he is not doing all he can at O’Fallon Casting.

Today we celebrate our first retirement of 2026, Jim N. O’Fallon Casting was lucky to have Jim work for us for 39 years! Jim’s knowledge was vast in multiple different departments such as Wax, Grind, and Straightening. He is retiring as Straightener A – Group Lead on 1st Shift.

Over the last almost 4 decades of employment, Jim has worked with many people who spoke highly of him and are sad to see him go. Among the several wonderful things said, Jim was recognized for his knowledge of different departments, and the care and passion he had for his work and what O’Fallon Casting produces. Not only was Jim commended as a co-worker, who he is as a person stood out just as much. He is celebrated as an extremely helpful, incredibly positive, and an all-around great human being. But above all the praise as a person and compliments he received as a co-worker, there was one sentiment that everyone shared; the joy his outfits bring. There was no shirt too colorful or outfit with too loud of a print for Jim.

Please join us in congratulating Jim on his almost 40 years of hard work and wishing him all the happiness that retirement brings!!

June is National Safety Month, a time to recognize the importance of creating and maintaining safe, healthy workplaces for everyone.

Safety is more than a policy—it's a shared commitment that helps protect our employees, strengthen our operations, and support our communities.

A special thank you to our Environment, Health, and Safety Manager, Conner LaLonde, for helping us celebrate National Safety Month by organizing the taco truck event.

Our May employee spotlight is Joe D. Joe is a puller/pourer in our foundry here at O’Fallon Casting. In an investment casting foundry, a Puller/Pourer is a specialized metal casting technician responsible for transferring molten metal from the melting furnace and pouring it into preheated ceramic molds (or shells). This dual-role requires managing extreme temperatures to ensure the metal fills the shell perfectly. Joe has experience in every position in the foundry; working the autoclave, pulling ceramic shells, and knows how to pour any metal we offer here at O’Fallon. Joe points to his appreciation for the opportunities he’s had to advance in his department that has led to becoming the lead Melter on his shift.

‘I take a great sense of pride for the parts that I pour. These are complex and highly sophisticated parts that are needed for the aerospace and defense systems.”

Our Metallurgic engineer, Matt, can see the passion and pride that Joe takes in his work;

“Joe regularly proposes ideas and tests in an attempt to improve the quality of castings being produced.”

Joe goes on to speak about having full ownership of a pour, paying attention to the details, and not cutting corners. He also talks about how tight-knit his department is, having good communication and great discipline.

When Joe is not perfecting his pour he enjoys golfing, playing soccer, and spending time with his family and new baby girl.

Our April employee spotlight is on Riesa H. Riesa has been with O’Fallon Casting for 10 years. Hired on as a Part Marker in the Final Inspection department, her next move was to X-ray where she achieved a level 2 radiographer certification, which she still holds to this day. Riesa’s next advancement was moving to the Quality department as a Quality Coordinator. In this roll she has gotten to evolve her responsibilities from certifications to the inputting all the quality requirements for parts (old and new) into our system. On top of excelling at her Quality Coordinator roll, she also finds time to help take on other projects.

“I love being able to help when needed and solve issues. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out a problem and take pride in knowing I helped fix it.”

The Quality Systems Manager celebrates her commitment to supporting wherever and whenever possible.

“ I’m continually impressed by Riesa’s dedication and expertise. She provides outstanding day-to-day support to the Quality team while effectively leading a crucial project. Her deep knowledge of our current system and her strong technical leadership have added tremendous value to this critical project and to OFC overall.” - Taylor T.

Riesa goes on to highlight the theme of family in and around the company. She points to the great pay that helps her support her family, the family atmosphere, and the value that is shown for the employee’s family lives by providing a good work/life balance.

Outside of O’Fallon Casting Riesa loves to spend time and be with her husband and their 4 children.
