Community health centers care for 1 in 7 Americans, and the teams inside them do it every week of the year, not just the one with a name on it.

Our outreach team has spent this month alongside them, talking with patients about keeping medications organized, on schedule, and a little easier to live with.

To every provider and every health center team:
thank you for the work you do.

Earlier this month, our team spent the day at KleinLife in Elkins Park, PA, alongside Christine Mihalek, our Community Outreach Associate in Pennsylvania, talking with seniors about keeping medications organized, on schedule, and a little easier to live with.

Senior centers are where community happens.
Thank you to Gail Korostoff and the whole KleinLife team for the warm welcome. We’ll be back.

Meet Victor… he handles community outreach for us in Ohio, and has spent much of this year in senior centers across Cuyahoga County.

Many of those visits were with CCHAP Meals on Wheels. Their team leads with nutrition: what to eat, how to feel better, how to stay well. Then Victor follows with medications: staying organized, knowing what to ask a pharmacist, keeping track when there are a lot of pills and a lot of days to remember.

More than a dozen of them so far, and more on the calendar.

Thank you to CCHAP Meals on Wheels and Cheryl Smith, and of course to the folks who pulled up a chair, gave us their ear, and asked so many good questions.

Food and medicine belong in the same conversation, and there's no better place to have it than over lunch. 💙

This Fourth of July, we're celebrating independence, including the kind that never appears in history books:
staying in your own home; keeping your own routine; taking care of yourself, your own way.

That independence is worth protecting, and we're proud to play a part in it — helping people stay in charge of their own medications and giving the families who love them a little more peace of mind.

Because independence doesn't mean doing it all alone.
It means having what you need to live life on your own terms.

Happy Fourth of July from all of us at MedMinder. ❤️

One of the biggest problems in healthcare is hiding in plain sight, in our own medicine cabinets.
It’s in the medication bottles that were never opened, the ones we stopped early, and the ones that expired months ago.

Across the country, billions of dollars of medication are filled every year and never taken. But the real cost isn’t the money. It’s the deterioration of health and quality of life for so many people, simply because the medicine meant to help them stays on the shelf.

Dr. David Shulkin, former U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs, wrote a thoughtful piece about exactly this. His question is a simple one: are we actually taking the medicine we’ve already paid for?

Sometimes the hardest part of staying healthy isn’t getting the prescription but remembering to take it: every day, the right way, and all the way.
That’s the part we care about most.

Your daughter calls on Friday.

She doesn't ask about your meds.
She never does.

But the question is there.
Behind the "how are you feeling," and "how was your morning."

You say "I'm fine, sweetheart,” and you're almost sure you are.

We get it.

There is love in what she asks… and in what she doesn’t

You walk past the kitchen counter.
Wait… did you take the blue pill already?

We get it.

Some mornings it's just too hard to remember and too easy to forget.

Mother's Day is as much about being a mother as it is about having a mother.

It is a day to celebrate the emotions, the experiences, and the responsibilities that are so uniquely characteristic to motherhood. And it's also a day to recognize that over time we may have a chance to return some of the unconditional love and unparalleled care that we receive from our mothers.

It is not a role reversal.
It is the arc of motherhood connecting and compelling us, as it always has. And it is certainly something to celebrate.

To all the mothers out there - the ones that you have, and the ones that you are - we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you.

From all of us at MedMinder:
Happy Mother's Day!

Five pills before breakfast.
Two with food and three without.
One you started last week… or was it the one you stopped?

We get it.

Mornings should be for coffee, not for puzzles.
