We’re excited to welcome Cameron as a welding apprentice at Sackett-Waconia.

This fall, Cameron will attend Alexandria Technical & Community College while continuing to work with our team over the summer and during school breaks. We’re proud to support his education and look forward to bringing him on full-time after graduation next year.

Cameron has already proven himself to be a strong contributor with solid welding skills, a great attitude, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed—from welding and layout to helping in paint.

We’re excited to be part of his future and proud to support the next generation of skilled trades.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

The freedoms we enjoy every day are only possible because of their sacrifice, courage, and commitment to something greater than themselves.

From all of us at Sackett-Waconia, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Today, we were proud to participate in the 6th Annual Waconia Works Signing Day at Waconia High School—an event that celebrates the future of manufacturing and skilled trades. We’re very excited to welcome two talented young professionals to our team full-time following graduation, after completing successful apprenticeships with us over the past few months.

Sophia Carmer will join our NYA facility as a Fabricator. She has quickly proven herself as a versatile and capable team member—cross-training across multiple machines, stepping in wherever needed, and bringing a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn to everything she does.

Kamryn Formaneck will join our Waconia facility as an Assembly Technician. From day one, she stood out for her work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to take on new challenges. Her reliability, speed, and strong retention made her a trusted contributor across the shop floor.

We were also proud to have several team members on hand to support the event, including Kyle Glaser (2021 signee), Natalie Uecker (2024 signee), Heather Orth, Paul Peterson, Corey Lockwood, and Chad Krebsbach—demonstrating the strength of this program and the career paths it creates in manufacturing.
Sophia and Kamryn represent exactly what makes the next generation of manufacturing talent so promising. We’re proud to have them on our team and excited for what’s ahead.

Sackett-Waconia has taken a strategic step to strengthen its operations by advancing its manufacturing consolidation plan. As part of this initiative, the company has closed its Maryland manufacturing facility.

Moving forward, all Sackett-Waconia equipment will be manufactured in Minnesota and Iowa. Iowa production will be supported by the Chantland MHS facility, which was successfully integrated into Sackett-Waconia last year.

This transition reflects the company’s continued focus on operational efficiency, streamlined production, and delivering consistent, high-quality solutions to its customers.
