We’re re-imagining a piece of Norwich history.
Long before the idea of a hotel took shape and the construction fences went up, this very site at West Main/South Broad Street was home to a bustling car dealership — a place where Cadillacs were sold and serviced for nearly 100 years, and where Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles, and GMC trucks were part of everyday community life. It was a place where we spent countless hours as kids, wandering the dealership and following Dad around as he worked. (See the throwback video of the old dealership in downtown Norwich.)
Now, that same footprint is becoming something entirely new: The Principle Hotel — 61 charming boutique rooms, a rooftop lounge, and a vibrant new gathering space right in the heart of our city.
Why does that matter? Because this isn’t just a hotel. It’s a reconnection of Norwich-past with Norwich-future.
