It is with great sadness in our hearts that we say goodbye to Alan Miley. Alan was an extraordinary man who saw life in the simplest of terms. Good work, a great cause, and the company of his family and friends brought him purpose and joy. Taken from us far too soon, it is the memories Alan made that we have left to reflect on and cherish. To Bellis Steel, Alan was a dedicated and long serving leader. For over 40 years he supported our team and our clients in the areas of production and estimating. To all of us here, Alan was not only a trusted colleague, but a comedian, a generous friend โฆ and so much more.
A man highly adored by children and dogs, it was no surprise he was a magnanimous spoiler and fun guy. His comedic timing and banter brought laughter and energy to the team, and he was a natural at making even the shyest person feel an equal part of the fun.
Watching Alan brave his final days, stoic and focused on his work, spoke to us greatly about his character. Alan was never one for self-pity or to overindulge in sentiment. Weโd like to believe heโs up there making fun of us for gushing over him today. He will be greatly missed. May he take comfort in the light and rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
