One of the municipal rate setting's greatest has passed away. Bob worked for a competitor, however, I also considered him a mentor. He was the "father" of the AWWA Rate Manuals that I worked on for so many years after he retired. I recall a court case I was involved in and when I found out he was the other side's expert I nearly died from fear I revered him so much. We won the case as I recall, but it was a great lesson watching and learning from Bob.

As a Past President and Lifetime member of the New England Water Works Association, I was disappointed to see that the board has dug its heals in and is severing ties with the American Water Works Association. We had made decades of progress in advancing drinking water since the affiliation with AWWA.

One of our last cases. So glad to see our client (Holden) prevail in the absurd and illegal charges from the City. Worcester's own admissions are what sunk them. No way they win an appeal, and the interest keeps going up by over $4000 a day!

HOLDEN – A jury verdict in favor of Holden against Worcester was affirmed by the Worcester Superior Court, ending a long effort by Holden over the charges for sewer transport charges.

WATER IS TOO CHEAP!! I agree.

As we grapple with the climate crisis, there's less and less water to go around. But in the U.S. water is cheaper than dirt. Today on the show, the reason we're willing to flush something so valuable down the drain.
