Happy New Year, fellow land yacht captains! 2024 was a busy year trying to get many reproduction irons out of the fire and on to the shelves so to speak. Lot of rocky waters but I'm happy to say we made it to shore with a few of them! One of the most asked for being the 1965 Fender Turn Signal Indicator Chrome Cover Caps. Got the first batch back from the platers last month and they are a sight to see. Pewter cast, nickel/chrome plated with new 30lb pull rated ball stud clips soldered on for maximum hold! Just adjust the stud on the base to the proper height, snap the caps on and they're there to stay. Currently available on the website at https://captaincadillacscove.com/parts-catalog/ols/products/1965-cadillac-front-fender-turn-signal-indicator-chrome-cover-bezel-cap-set, they are limited to 150 sets as the clips are difficult source.

Also nearing the finish line are reproduction call out badges for late 1970's-1980s models. Currently at the platers and soon to be on the website and eBay store as are a dozen other emblems and scripts!

Happy 4th of July everyone! As usual, the page has been quiet, mainly because the ole Captain is hard at work getting you the newest and bestest parts for your Cadillacs! Finally in after some delays are the 1969-1970 sheet metal patch panels! I had my talented steel smith forge up patches for coupe/sedan hardtop lower rear window corners, pillared sedan/Fleetwood lower rear window corners and the ones everyone have been begging for, the rear lower quarter patches. All hand formed in 18g prime steel with all the proper contours.

Also in are a new batch of NOS parts to add to the always ample hoard of NOS the Cove keeps on hand. They'll all be slowly added into the eBay stores inventory as well as www.captaincadillacscove.com exclusive website inventory.

Happy New Year to all! Last year was full of new projects and reproduction parts getting out of the planning stages and into production. But, as is with life, there's always going to be some obstacles on the way to the finish line. Had a few issues with outsourced local services that have delayed some of the repros but they are still on track and hopefully with be ready to go mid-late spring! On a brighter note, the website ( www.captaincadillacscove.com ) is finally up and I'll be adding content to it hopefully on a regular basis. In the meantime, I'll be adding more parts to both the eBay store ( https://www.ebay.com/str/captaincadillacscove ) and exclusive website only items so keep an eye on both as usual so you don't miss out on a rare NOS or used part you might have been long searching for!

While waiting for some new reproduction parts to be finished, I started searching the Cove for more lost treasures to make available soon. Man, did I find some gems. NOS galore including a half roll of original dusty rose / heather seat belt strap webbing used in 1959-62 Cadillacs with that pinkish / amethyst interior and an NOS 1971-1976 Silver/Grey Steering Wheel! Long time, no post but not because we're taking it easy here at the Cove. A slew of new reproduction parts have been in various development stages and plans for more are also in the works. Some parts are currently delayed due to delays with outsourced work (plating, die making) but others I've got thru final testing and production. A big one is the 1963-1972 rear license plate fuel door hinge kit. 2 brand new hinge springs and die cast zinc hinge pins, much stronger than the original nylon ones. No more floppy fuel doors.

Also now available is the 1965-1970 climate control power servo glide connector for air blend door arm. The originals disintegrated, leaving the air blend door in the hvac casing swinging freely. Our new ones are 3D printed in much stronger ABS to withstand the under hood temps.

And speaking of climate control, new 1965-1966 dashpad ambient temperature sensors are back in production and available. Stronger than the originals that used to fall apart when the thermistor leads rotted or get broken off when the sensor grille shattered.

Lastly, to now join the 1987 version we produced 7 years back, we have the 1988-1989 Allante headrest mounted seat belt guide loops. Infamous for snapping off because of the thin walled wedge locks, we fixed that issue by having them 3D printed with solid mounting wedges. Just prep and paint to match your interior color and slide them into place to support your shoulder belt straps and keep them from getting slammed in the door.

Ahoy, land yacht captains! The ole Captain has been rather busy setting up production on a whole line of reproduction parts over the last few months, leaving little time to post. BUT, I never forget my customers and always have their backs, even in these times of costly living and even more costly gas prices!

The weather was fair today, ripe for adventure! Finally mustering the courage, the ole Captain and 6 imaginary friends set forth to find one of the lost treasure hoards of the infamous land yacht pirate, One Hubcap Willie. Following a crudely drawn map on the back of a soiled Roy Rogers fast food napkin, we were on our way! Peril and potholes at every turn (Thanks, NY DOT), we made our way to where the X marked the spot. Turns out the X was just a ketchup stain but we still found one of Willie's treasure caches filled with NOS gold! Happy New Year to everyone! Hoping this year will improve over the last couple and we get more classic Cadillacs back on the road for all to enjoy. Happy Holidays to everyone! We've braved another rough year and made it through with our land yachts leading the way. Here at the Cove, it's been more busy than rough as more new projects are put into development so next year can be filled with more available reproduction parts for your classic Caddys!
And to close out this year and start the new one off great, I've put up for auction probably one of the rarest items I've ever had in stock, a 1964 429 Front Engine Timing Cover NOS! And not only that, the auction includes the NOS oil pump cover, pressure valve, pump gears, timing chain and gasket kit! If you ever wanted your engine to have factory original oil pressure and coolant flow, this is it! Or just mount it on the wall as it's probably the last NOS timing cover on Earth. Ahoy fellow land yacht captains! Just as promised, more new reproduction parts will be coming into port before the end of the month!

1963-68 Round rear courtesy light lenses with crest molded in, 1969-70 Door panel red and white courtesy light lenses and 1969-85 Square rear courtesy light lenses!

Freshly made of a stronger plastic to resist the possibility of breakage during light bulb changes and for a proper fit in the light fixture.

And as always, there's still more to come in the following months as the Captain is advancing further into new reproduction parts for your classic Cadillacs!

Been awhile since the last update but don't think it's cause the ole Captain has been slackin' on his Lacin'. Quite a few new and reproduction items are in the works and being stocked up in the cargo hold for the fall/winter season! This one is available now though :

Even with all of Cadillac's top engineers at work, the battery trays in most 1965-1968 Cadillacs rotted out in multiple spots in only a few short years. The acidic run off of water from leaky or wet batteries dripped down into the bumper end and accelerated the rotting of those. Now you can finally have a new weld-in tray to support that heavy battery properly. Proudly made here in NYS, a brand new heavy 13 gauge steel replacement battery tray with modified openings for better drainage and better bolt access, a heavy rubber grommeted negative cable opening and tough semi gloss black powdercoating to provide years of protection from the elements.
