EXLTUBE is a steel mill in North Kansas City. We make steel tubing & pipe and sell it to large customers. Our Parts Room Clerks use SAP to purchase, maintain, count, and report all stock materials, spare parts, supplies, replacement parts, repairs, nonstock items, and outside services and rush orders as required or directed, in support of all maintenance and production efforts. They also operate office machines, forklifts, shop hoist, ladder, pallet truck, etc. We have found Parts Clerks that are most successful have prior Parts experience as well as experience in purchasing, inventory, SAP, data entry, basic computer and customer service skills.
HOURS: 4am-2pm, Mon-Fri. (+2 Sat./month)

The Production Supervisor at KC Specialty is responsible for overseeing all production lines and Shipping/Receiving. Maintains production schedules and output goals. This position works with the maintenance and engineering departments to schedule regular maintenance of production machinery and any breakdown of equipment.

Starting pay $26.00 - $35.10/hr. depending on background and experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required

The Maintenance Planner plans and schedules day-to-day maintenance activities, projects, parts ordering, outside services and contractors. This position anticipates and eliminates potential delays through planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance resources, parts, and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner schedules maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and impact to production. The planner prepares daily work orders, parts availability inquiries, and project configuration. The Maintenance Planner will utilize SAP Maintenance and ensure the tools and parts needed to complete work orders are available. The Machine Operator will load, set up, and operate end-weld equipment to produce high-quality steel tube at the highest speed possible while adhering to safety policies. This position will also perform certain material handling functions related to the mill operation, including (but not limited to) loading slit coils on the line and staging slit coils. Starting pay is $19.00 - $22.50/hr. depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and transfers in order to move materials
Supply tube mill machinery with coils of steel
Work from rolling schedules to ensure that proper size, gauge, length, and material bundle configuration are being processed
Follow work instructions to produce tubing per customer specifications
Band bundles of tubes and move them to cutting process or to storage
Perform visual inspection on tubes, removing burrs and ensuring inside/outside surfaces are clean
Conduct quality assurance inspections and provide ideas on changes to ensure that end products meet customer specifications
Visually inspect finished goods for quality defects (i.e. scratches, die marks, weld splits, end cut conditions) and reject non-conforming products
Prepare / stack / assemble bundles correctly to protect products from damage
Repack tubing into bundles, pack and/or band bundles according to customer requirements
Work directly with mill operator on set ups
Offload, hand stack, and package steel tubing manually
Help receive and unload incoming material from suppliers
Move material into inventory storage, staging areas, and work areas
Maintain a clean work area to ensure the highest levels of quality and productivity are being met
Accurately identify steel shapes, sizes, and mill tolerances
Follow all safety rules and procedures at all times
Take pride in own workmanship
Physical & Work Requirements:
