The grain is in the bin, and the bills for next season are already starting to land.

A new S&P Global report warns that fertilizer and fuel shortages, combined with El Niño, could lead to a global food crisis in 2027. Two figures in it hit farm budgets directly:
🔹 Nearly 30% of global urea trade normally passes through the Strait of Hormuz
🔹 The diesel-crude price spread, historically $12–20 per barrel, went above $100 in early September

A crisis isn’t certain, and the report says so. But next season will cost more to grow, which makes the grain already in storage worth looking after:
✔️ Check temperature and moisture regularly
✔️ Keep aeration running steadily
✔️ Remove fines that block airflow

Grain doesn’t always sit where it’s easy to reach. A grain vac gets to it anyway.

The suction system draws grain in through a cyclone, separates it from the air, and feeds it through a rotary valve into the pipeline. Grain moves gently from there, horizontally, vertically, and around corners, with less damage along the way. Flexible pipes reach into flat storage, silos, bins, or a truck without a fixed pit or infeed setup, so you can get to the grain without rebuilding around the equipment. And when you need more capacity, a larger blower connects to the same pipe system.

Wherever the grain is, the vac does the rest.

There was plenty to celebrate at our office in France recently, so the team got together for a cooking class and a chance to mark a few special milestones.

🎉 Bertrand Dufour received a Long Service Award for 20 years of service
🎉 Patrick Chevallier celebrated an impressive 35 years of service
🎉 Jules Pairault welcomed his second child this summer

Congratulations to all for these special milestones!

As for the cooking class, nothing was burnt and everyone enjoyed the delicious meal they made together. 👨‍🍳
