Newport Industrial Fabrication Newport Industrial Fabrication, Inc. (NIF) was incorporated in 1997. The company has grown from a ha NIF specializes in custom metal fabrications.

Our skill, size and flexibility allow us to supply a wide range of cost effective and on schedule products. We have supplied custom shoring, formwork, and access platforms to many large construction projects from Maine to Virginia. We also supply specialized structural steel such as rail station canopies, specialized trusses, and other non-traditional beam and column steel. NIF can also put on the finishing touches in our new sophisticated paint facility. We pride ourselves in our ability to work as a team. The entire company meets to discuss safety, quality, and production issues at the beginning of each week. Each team member is looking for a way to make our customers and our company more competitive. We have the experience and the equipment to get the job done.

🏆 Great work gets recognized!

Our project partner, Jaroff Studio (https://jaroff.com/), has been recognized by BUILD Magazine in its 2026 Architecture Awards for the Waterline Club, earning honors for both architectural metal and glass design/build and luxury residential amenities.

NIF was proud to collaborate on this one, fabricating the steel substructure for the pedestrian bridges and spiral staircases that help bring this incredible space to life.

Congratulations to the Jaroff team on this well-deserved recognition! It’s great to see a project we helped build receiving this kind of spotlight.

Not all impressive projects look impressive at first.

This stack of steel might not turn heads sitting in the yard — but it’s headed for something that will.

NIF is supplying skylight rafters for the new Ford World Headquarters, a 2.1 million square-foot facility designed to bring thousands of employees together in a modern, collaborative workspace.

Behind many glass-filled atriums and architectural features is steel like this — precisely fabricated, carefully detailed, and built to support the final vision.

🏗️ In the spotlight again!

The Hickory Riverwalk Bridge, fabricated by the NIF team, is featured in Premier Construction Magazine’s December issue (35.2). You can find the article on page 26 of the digital edition.

Projects like this are a great reminder of the level of skill, coordination, and attention to detail that goes into the work our crews deliver every day. Seeing it highlighted years later is something everyone involved should be proud of.

Nice work to the entire team who helped bring this bridge from concept to reality — and kept it moving smoothly from shop to site.

Always great to see NIF steel in the spotlight again 🙌

Our Hickory Riverwalk project was just featured in the American Architecture Awards!

The NIF crew handled all the fabrication — with some serious technical demands along the way: AWS D1.1, D1.5, and Fracture Critical welds, a mix of ASTM-A588 weathering steel shapes and color-galv HSS masts, unique fit-up geometries and delivery to North Carolina.

The best part? It was delivered on time and installed without a hitch.

It takes skill, patience, and teamwork to move steel like this.

The NIF crew is sending off another set of trusses for the NYC Football Club Stadium — built, welded, and painted right here in Maine.

Every weld, every coat of paint, every lift represents hours of coordination and pride from the team that makes it happen.
