We have supplied custom shoring, formwork, and access platforms to many large construction projects from Maine to Virginia. We also supply specialized structural steel such as rail station canopies, specialized trusses, and other non-traditional beam and column steel. NIF can also put on the

finishing touches in our new sophisticated paint facility. We pride ourselves in our ability to work as a team. The entire company meets to discuss safety, quality, and production issues at the beginning of each week. Each team member is looking for a way to make our customers and our company more competitive. NIF is supplying skylight rafters for the new Ford World Headquarters, a 2.1 million square-foot facility designed to bring thousands of employees together in a modern, collaborative workspace.

🏗️ In the spotlight again!

The Hickory Riverwalk Bridge, fabricated by the NIF team, is featured in Premier Construction Magazine’s December issue (35.2). You can find the article on page 26 of the digital edition.

Projects like this are a great reminder of the level of skill, coordination, and attention to detail that goes into the work our crews deliver every day. Seeing it highlighted years later is something everyone involved should be proud of.

Nice work to the entire team who helped bring this bridge from concept to reality — and kept it moving smoothly from shop to site.

Always great to see NIF steel in the spotlight again 🙌

Our Hickory Riverwalk project was just featured in the American Architecture Awards!

The NIF crew handled all the fabrication — with some serious technical demands along the way: AWS D1.1, D1.5, and Fracture Critical welds, a mix of ASTM-A588 weathering steel shapes and color-galv HSS masts, unique fit-up geometries and delivery to North Carolina.

The best part? It was delivered on time and installed without a hitch.

The Frances Appleton Pedestrian Bridge is the longest bridge span over Boston's Storrow Drive, connecting the city to the riverfront. The crossing is also higher than any other existing bridge along the highway corridor, opening views and incorporating appropriate vertical clearances.
