Don’t pour concrete… until it works. 👷
Before the pour, every pe*******on, sleeve, and system crossing the slab needs to be fully coordinated. Once concrete is placed, even small misalignments can turn into costly rework and schedule delays.

In this residential project in Delaware, plumbing and HVAC systems were modeled and coordinated in advance, ensuring that all elements aligned with both the structure and adjacent trades before installation began.

So when crews got on-site:

→ Sleeves were already in the right place
→ Everything aligned with the structure and other trades
→ Installation was straightforward

See how coordination looks before the pour.

Ex*****on quality on site is determined long before installation begins.

In multi-level buildings with mechanical systems, the real risk isn't always complexity; it's sequence. When modeling, coordination, and documentation aren't aligned, the field pays the price.

To prevent that, on this school facility project, our BIM Specialists developed and implemented internal BIM-based QA/QC controls to ensure a reliable Fabrication-Oriented Numbering Strategy.
The objective was simple: provide clear, traceable information that supported fabrication without exceeding the defined project scope.

This approach ensured:
- Each standard-length duct piece received a unique identification number.
- Identical elements shared the same number.
- These numbers were reflected directly in the installation drawings.

ENG understands that model precision reduces field uncertainty. Therefore, our expert team focuses on:

- Clearly defined scope aligned with fabrication constraints
- Fully coordinated and constructible models
- Verified QA/QC processes
- Installation-ready documentation

If you're looking to strengthen your BIM-to-field workflow, we're always open to sharing insights.

Made Right Revizto Was Action-Packed

A huge shout-out to Matheus Pascual Garcia, BIM Project Manager at ENG, and Mathew Goshon, CM-BIM, Design Manager at ArchKey Solutions, who delivered a memorable session called "EVOLVE–Revizto: Connecting Data from Design to the Field."

The conversation doesn't stop here 👏

On the 567,600 SF Tampa General Hospital Surgical, Neuroscience & Transplant Pavilion expansion, tight corridors, stacked risers, and SurePods integration weren't simple coordination exercises.

ENG worked alongside our client, Mielke Mechanical, to provide:

âś” Plumbing & Med Gas Design Assist
âś” Full modeling and corridor rack coordination
âś” Riser vs. column clearance resolution
âś” SurePods bathroom spooling strategy
âś” Riser spools per level
âś” BOM per level (risers + hangers)
âś” Trimble layout points for field accuracy

For one of Florida's most significant hospital expansions, ENG's focus was clear: to transform complex coordination into fabrication-ready clarity, supporting efficient installation for years to come.

If you're planning a complex healthcare project and expect BIM to support fabrication, field ex*****on, and long-term performance, let's connect.

Top 5 BIM Trends in 2026 for MEP Contractors đź‘·

From our experience working alongside MEP contractors, BIM teams, and field crews, we’re seeing a clear shift heading into 2026.

AI-assisted clash detection.
Constructability-driven modeling.
Cloud-based coordination.
Digital twins.
Model-driven prefabrication.

These trends aren’t just changing how models are created; they’re reshaping how projects are built.

Over the next few years, successful BIM adoption will be measured by fewer field conflicts, reduced rework, and stronger project profitability.
