Dextall Tech Enabled | Labor Smart | Green Forward Dextall prefab process eliminates Jobsite labor availability impact. Why is that important?

Dextall Prefab Walls

Dextall Tech Forward methods are fundamentally changing how we design and build new generation prefab walls for mid and high-rise building exteriors. Dextall is a leading system designer and fabricator of prefab exterior wall panel systems for mid/high rise buildings. We integrate digital tools to optimize design processes that eliminate 24 months of unnecessary coordination,

provides exact exterior cost at the earliest design stages. Our factory assembled exterior walls are installed like building blocks with factory sealed windows and cladding providing superior quality and has a direct impact in reducing the carbon footprint of the buildings where our system is used. Building exteriors with Dextall panels is 75% faster compared to onsite construction processes. By using the dry gasket method
there is no need to go back outside and seal the panels once they are set in place; thus no scaffolds or other suspended platforms. There is an urgent need to change the way the commercial construction industry operates

The construction industry in particular mid and high-rise buildings construction processes have not changed for the last 100 years. The current design and construction process of building exteriors requires intense coordination involving multiple stakeholders that can easily last 2 years. It’s a waste of time and capital. The current onsite construction process is lengthy, inefficient, contributes to poor overall building quality, and is not sustainable – 30% of building materials become waste once they get to the Jobsite. Buildings are vital to our environment and they are one of the largest contributors to our carbon footprint on this planet. Even the smallest gains in energy efficiency at scale have a massive impact. Improved processes will lead to overall cost savings and will contribute to more housing opportunities for communities in need.

One Panel. Three Minutes.

Most people see a finished building.

Few get to see what it takes to get there.

At 38 E 35th Street in Manhattan, a complete prefabricated façade panel is lifted, positioned, and installed in just 3 minutes.

Porcelain cladding. Aluminum windows. Factory precision.

This is what happens when design, engineering, and construction work together from day one.

Watch the video to see a full panel installation from start to finish.

For owners and lenders, a “breathing” facade budget is one of the biggest red flags on a project. It usually means the scope wasn’t locked, risks weren’t mapped, and $/SF placeholders were doing a lot of heavy lifting.

This piece lays out a different approach. It starts with guardrails — target budget, schedule, KPIs, and a risk register — then moves to assembly-based costing so every panel type has a BoM, install time, and clear cost/lead-time impact. Change a finish or glazing spec and you see the delta immediately, instead of discovering it halfway through construction. When you combine that with parallel factory/site tracks and a unitized install, the facade line item becomes far more predictable in both cost and time.

Dextall fits naturally into this framework. Unitized panels with non-combustible cores address the physical risk, while Dextall Studio brings system-level pricing, quantities, and layout logic directly into the BIM model. That makes it much easier to stand in front of an IC or lender and defend the facade budget with real data instead of optimistic allowances.

One building. Endless possibilities.

The best façades are not created by settling on the first option. They are created by exploring, comparing, refining, and pushing ideas further.

This project showcases how Dextall and Kora Studio help architects explore different materials, textures, rhythms, and façade expressions while maintaining complete creative control.

Dextall was featured in Robotics Business News for the launch of our proprietary robotic facade fabrication system.

This is not a prototype. This is not a pilot. This is production infrastructure already active in our manufacturing operations and supporting major high rise projects across New York City.

Our precision robotic welding platform produces structural steel hooks, the connector element that anchors each prefabricated facade panel to the building structure. By standardizing this high repetition component and then automating its fabrication, Dextall is delivering faster, more consistent, and more scalable production.

As Aurimas Sabulis shared in the article:

“Automation is not a strategy. It is a reward for having built something stable enough to automate. You earn the right to run a robot. You do not buy it.”

We are proud to see Dextall recognized for building the manufacturing infrastructure needed to scale prefab construction for the next generation of high rise buildings.
