New York City and the MTA are studying a new approach to managing extreme heat in the subway system.

A proposed Thermal Energy Network at the Chambers Street J/Z and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall 4/5/6 station complex would explore capturing excess platform heat, storing it underground, and reusing it to help heat nearby municipal buildings during colder months.

The Hudson Tunnel Project is a major part of the Gateway Program, connecting New York and New Jersey through new and rehabilitated rail infrastructure.

SIE is providing procurement support services for work that includes new tunnel construction, rehabilitation of the existing North River Tunnel, ancillary facilities, and connections to the Northeast Corridor.

The Oculus is celebrating 10 years as a transportation hub, retail destination, and gathering place at the World Trade Center. Since opening in 2016, the landmark has connected commuters and visitors to subway and PATH service, shopping, dining, events, and the surrounding World Trade Center campus.

SIE served as the Prime Consultant for the World Trade Center Retail Redevelopment Program. The team provided construction management, field review and inspections, punch-list oversight, wayfinding signage coordination, and support for retail tenant fit-outs throughout the campus.
