Just last week, CEO of Pearson, John Fallon, was quoted saying “The $300 dollar textbook is dead” in a recent article by Vox. We could not agree more. Students want and deserve more value from their educational investment. The time is coming. Be a part of the solution.

CHECK OUT THE BEFORE AND AFTER OF HOPE COTTAGE - A lot of hours were put into this once abandoned home but I am proud to say it was well worth it! Now we have a beautiful space to share with wonderful people from all over the world. Brand new kitchen, appliances, new roof, and finished hardwood floors throughout. A very satisfying experience it was to bring this gem back to its forgotten glory. This is why I do what I do! Hope Cottage will be coming to the market soon. Interior photos next. Stay tuned.

Giving New life to Forgotten Homes: "Hope Cottage“

In stark contrast to the original and sticking very closely to the conceptual design, the newly renovated kitchen at Hope Cottage has been transformed from a dull, drab space into a functional and beautiful modern kitchen. An oversized farmhouse sink, custom built cabinets and granite-topped counters with pull-out shelves provide ample work spaces and storage for the most fastidious of cooks. The large island doubles as the main work area and a place for casual dining. Under-cabinet lighting and puck lights in the overheads cast a warm and inviting glow, tying it all together.

Hope Cottage: Finally some progress after a number of major setbacks. No sooner had we come to grips with a large old oak crashing through the roof than we had to deal with a busted water supply line, broken sewage pipe in the basement and leaky plumbing throughout. Fast forward and we now have a new water supply line, brand new plumbing throughout and an entire electrical upgrade to current code. Needless to say, our budget has been blown to bits. So after months of mechanics and utility, we are finally seeing a hint of her true aesthetics. Next up for the exterior: landscaping, foundation plantings and a new driveway. And for the interior: finish work in the kitchen and the new bathroom. More to come, stay tuned!
