With the passing of Warren "Red" Upton at 105, the last survivor of the USS Utah, a chapter of history has closed forever. For decades, this man were the living voices of his lost ships, carrying the weight of his shipmates' sacrifice and the memory of that terrible morning. Warren Upton, who saved a drowning shipmate from the sinking Utah, were not just survivors, he were the final guardians of a silent promise.
