An amplifier based on GAN or GaAs technology needs to be biased in a particular sequence with a specified set of biases. Recent Signal Processing Group Inc, techteam contribution is a bias board that does this. It is designed for GAN power amplifiers but can easily be modified for other amplifiers with some simple modifications.

Antenna measurements are really interesting. Some parameters that should get tested at the very minimum. Frequency, gain, VSWR ( or impedance), directivity, E and H plane patterns.

Latest addition to Signal Procerssing Group Inc. product lineup is a S band, Class F power amplifier. Frequency 2.5 Ghz, Maximum output power 10W, VCC = 28V. Efficiency north of 70%. No pre distortion available yet. This is coming. The bias circuit for the GAN device CGH40010 has also been designed.

Signal Processing Group Inc is in the process of releasing a series of Class F power amplifiers based on GAN technology. Initial releases in the S and X band. Auxiliary circuits include predistortion to enhance linearity. Interested observers can keep in touch for further information..
