LL97 Compliance Update: NYC DOB Announces Extension
Building owners can now request an LL97 extension by August 29, 2025, pushing the reporting deadline to December 31, 2025. No professional attestation is required. Extensions already filed are valid through year-end.
Key Reminders:
LL97 + LL88 buildings: Both reports due June 30 unless LL97 extension is filed—then both are due December 31.
LL88-only buildings: Still due June 30, 2025.
LL88 can be satisfied by submitting a compliance plan (Tickets #11 & #12 on BEAM), but implementation is still mandatory to avoid penalties.
LL97 mitigation under Article 320/321 allows use of a compliance plan instead of full LL88 report.
LL84 benchmarking deadlines remain June 30 (or August 29 with LL97 extension).
