Today, we’re taking you behind the scenes of international logistics, using the delivery of our KRON LC28 landfill compactor as an example.

Transporting heavy machinery is a complex process that requires careful preparation, specialized equipment, and precise logistics planning.

For the international shipment of the KRON LC28, we use a 40-foot Flat Rack container (40’ FR).

🔹 Why a Flat Rack?

The KRON LC28 is a heavy-duty landfill compactor with impressive dimensions and massive steel wheels. Its size makes transportation in a standard enclosed shipping container impractical.

A Flat Rack is a specialized shipping platform without side walls or a roof, designed specifically for transporting heavy and oversized cargo.

🔹 How does the delivery process work?

1️⃣ Equipment preparation. Before shipment, our specialists inspect the machine, verify its configuration, and ensure that it is ready for transportation.

2️⃣ Loading onto the platform. Using specialized lifting equipment, the compactor is carefully positioned on the 40-foot Flat Rack, with proper weight distribution and safe handling procedures.

3️⃣ Secure fastening. The machine is secured with heavy-duty chains and specialized fastening systems to prevent movement during transportation.

4️⃣ Ocean transportation. Once the loading and securing procedures are completed, the Flat Rack is transported to the port for international ocean shipping.

5️⃣ Delivery to the customer. Upon arrival at the destination port, the equipment undergoes the necessary customs procedures and is transported to the customer’s location.
