Planned Power Interruption Notice
Members served by our Simmesport Substation (Lettsworth, LA Highway 1--Innis to Simmesport, Simmesport to Locks, LA Highway 418, Legonier, LA Highway 15, LA Highway 417 to C**n, LA Highway 971) are advised that our power provider, Cleco, will be de-energizing transmission lines feeding the substation to complete necessary repairs.
🕒 Date: Wednesday, May 27
⏰ Time: Beginning at approximately 3:00 a.m.
⏳ Estimated Duration: About 30 minutes
This temporary interruption is necessary to allow crews to safely complete repairs and help ensure continued reliable service.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work is completed.

In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026. 🇺🇸

As we enjoy time with family and friends, we also pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Each November, PC Electric donates mini grants to our local adopted schools to help fund classrooms with items that they would not have otherwise been able to purchase. We are honored and proud to share this message and photos from False River Academy, particularly Mrs. Catherine Olinde.

"I would like to thank you all again for supporting schools and teachers. This year my fourth and fifth graders were able to reinstate the school garden and use it for such things as plant life cycles, area, perimeter, volume, and producers/decomposers. Gardening ambassadors from our Garden Club instructed younger grades."

The future of rural America changed forever with the signing of the Rural Electrification Act on May 11, 1936 by President Roosevelt.

Before electricity reached rural communities, families relied on oil lamps, hand pumps, and wood-burning stoves for everyday life. The REA made it possible for electric cooperatives to bring safe, reliable, and affordable power to areas investor-owned utilities often overlooked.

Today, we celebrate the vision that powered progress across rural America and honor the cooperatives, employees, and members who continue that mission every day.

MEMBERS IN BATCHELOR and INNIS - Friday, May 8, 2026 - Our crews are currently assessing damage and actively working to restore power to areas affected by last night’s weather event. We understand how inconvenient outages can be and appreciate your patience as we work safely to get power restored.

Please remember to stay clear of any downed power lines and report outages or hazardous conditions to our office immediately. Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
