These Allison V-1710 crankshafts are a testament to the strength and durability of American engineering. During WWII, Cadillac Motor Car Division of General Motors was among the manufacturers producing Allison V-1710 engines under license, helping meet the enormous demand for reliable power in America’s warbirds.

Designed to withstand the demands of high-performance combat aviation, these crankshafts were built with serious strength and plenty of life left in them. Even after decades, many can be carefully inspected, measured, and reconditioned to return to service. A remarkable reminder of just how overbuilt these engines were.

Final testing is in the books for the -99 Yak Allison, and the results are looking damn good!

Our latest configuration showed a considerable improvement in horsepower, torque, and overall engine stability. After dialing everything in, the engine is running stronger, smoother, and more consistently than before.
