Work continues to advance across multiple areas of the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain project at Contract 102. Crews are splicing H-piles beneath I-10, which are steel beams driven deep to provide a strong foundation in soft soils, and surveying concrete piles at the North Montz Canal. In addition, construction of the Montz Canal Drainage Structure continues to progress, with concrete recently poured to form the base slab of the T-wall monolith which serves as the structural backbone of the drainage structure.

Clay is being hauled to Elevation 11 feet in non-hold sections, while vertical wick drains continue to be installed near Little Montz and at the tie in to contract 103 to stabilize the ground for long-term performance.

Stay tuned as steady progress is being made as we build safer, stronger infrastructure for the region.
