Today, the organization is composed of a carefully selected team of professionals. At MMI, we take pride in producing thorough, well thought out designs and construction documents. Locally, this begins with obtaining unique site information as provided through geotechnical reports. Combined with our vast library of construction documents and site information which dates back to the 1940’s, we are always able to make the correct foundation design. Our diligence in design continues throughout the superstructure, accounting for all code required gravity, wind, seismic and flood loading for all structural elements and connections. The repeated use of Morphy, Makofsky, Inc. by many major architects is a point of pride. MMI worked with Payette Architects in providing structural engineering services for the Tulane University Paul Hall Science and Engineering Building. The seventy-six thousans square foot building is supported by a deep foundation system consisting of auger cast-in-place pile with an approximate 50-ton design capacity.

MMI is currently working on a project that involves renovating the Tulane Hutchinson Building, which houses the school of medicine. The $35 million project will contain remodeled and expanded offices, conference rooms, support labs, and research lab space.
