Many of our visitors ask if there are bear here at the park. The answer is yes. Data from the latest Division of Wildlife report confirms that most of our bear are transient younger males, likely from West Virginia. In fact, Vinton County had the 4th highest count of confirmed sightings across the state in 2025!
