With the warm temperatures we will be having it would be a good idea to check the weight or winter stores on the hives. Also a perfect time to do a little OA treating. Don’t be afraid to crack the seal and check inside. A lot of beeks say they don’t want to till end of March or first of April. These are the ones that usually end up buying more bees. Just a suggestion. Happy beekeeping and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hello fellow beeks. Just sharing a little info. Every year customers come into the store first of the year ordering nucs or packages. The first thing they say is I don’t know why they died they had plenty of honey on them. I ask did you treat? What was your mite levels.? No we didn’t treat is always the response. Please check those mite levels and take some kind of action. It’s getting late and should have already been done. Happy Beekeeping!

Well sometimes I may get in too big of a hurry. Went to feed a yard of splits another round of feed. When I got to the last one I realized I was pumping plain water. At least they are not thirsty. Let’s try this again. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. 😂

Just got started grafting for this year. Didn’t have a packed starter hive so only grafted a few. 19 out of 19. One fell off while grafting. 😂😂. Let’s get this queen season started !!! To all my beekeeper friends I hope it’s the best year yet. 😊.
