Project Highlight: Yale New Haven Health Lawrence + Memorial Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Renovation

We faced some challenges on this one, as the existing roof framing above the lab was a concrete pan joist system that wasn't capable of supporting the overhead equipment. Our engineers got to thinking on some practical solutions, and we ended up supporting it with steel framing placed tightly to the underside of the roof.

Overall, this project modernized the hospital's lab facilities, allowing doctors to perform more advanced and complex heart and vascular procedures. We are grateful to have been part of projects that help to improve patient care, and strive to continue improving healthcare facilities.

We've been making some changes over here at e2! Our operational leadership structure looks a little different now, as we've expanded it to better support our growth.

We have appointed Trey Zaharek as Director of Operations, Jared Nash as the Massachusetts Studio Leader, and Corey Hollmann as the Connecticut Story Leader. We are excited to see them lead e2 into a new stage of growth!

Celebrating Peter Belbin's 3rd work anniversary with e2!

Pete has been an integral part of the e2 team! He's extremely team oriented and always willing to lend a helping hand. From leading project engineer meetings to being a go-to resource for advice in the office, Pete's collaborative skills have helped us grow in the right direction!

Today is National Cancer Survivors Day. Join us in celebrating and supporting survivors and those who are still fighting.

e2 is grateful to have been a part of projects that improve patient care. The Nuclear Medicine Suite we designed at Yale New Haven Health's Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, provides cutting edge imaging, allowing for improved cancer detection and treatment.

We hope to continue making an impact in healthcare in the future.

Project Highlight: IDEXX Project Stallion

This project was a new 115,000 SF, steel-framed facility for manufacturing, offices, research, and design for an international animal healthcare leader.

Meet Teresa Rodrigues and Jonathan Viliott, our 2026 Summer Interns!

Teresa and Jonathan are both rising seniors at UMass Amherst, and are pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering. Teresa was drawn to structural engineering because of her passion for history and preserving historic buildings, while Jonathan was drawn to structural because of his hands on nature and satisfaction with seeing different parts come together. Outside of engineering, the two have a plethora of hobbies! Teresa enjoys gardening, hiking, traveling, and reading, and Jonathan enjoys lifting, rock climbing, hiking, golf, and skiing.

This will be Teresa's second summer with e2, and Jonathan's first. We are thrilled to have both of them on the e2 team this summer!

Such a beautiful evening for some baseball! The Connecticut Westchester Young Leaders Hartford Yard Goats Outing on Wednesday was an awesome event! Tori, Julia, and Ryan had a great time getting outside and meeting with industry peers.

We are looking forward to a summer full of connecting and great weather!
