We are thrilled to share that we officially celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of our brand-new Clinic!

This milestone is a direct reflection of our commitment to those who make LP Houlton possible. We are invested in the long-term health of our employees and their families because our people are, and always will be, our greatest strength. The results are in for the LP Houlton Chili Cook-Off, and while all the chilis were fire, the sibling rivalry was even hotter!

1st Place: Justin Foss (Millwright)
Justin took home the top prize with a chili so good it officially has "legendary" status at the mill.

2nd Place: Adam Foster (Warehouse Trucker)
3rd Place: Darah Hughes (Office Administrator)

BUT... WE HAD A SITUATION.
It turns out that Ariel Foss (Safety Manager) was not exactly "safe" with her emotions regarding the results. The sibling rivalry reached a boiling point when Ariel decided that if she couldn't win the title, she’d just take it anyway!

We are proud supporters of Houlton Humane Society!

🗣 HUGE SHOUT OUT🗣 to these three ladies coming in with a whole lot of donations for our shelter fur-babies! They are representing, Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP).

We can't thank you ladies enough. They got a tour of the shelter and met some of our amazing animals while doing so. We look forward to working with you in the near future❤️

The Hodgdon Boys Varsity Basketball Team would like to send a HUGE thank you to Louisiana Pacific for their generous donation! LP purchased the varsity team brand new jackets to wear to their games. LP has supported MSAD 70 for many years. We really appreciate their continued kindness and support towards our students! Go Hawks!

Matt Norton is one of our Millwrights here at LP, and he is talented in more ways than one! He takes on many carpentry projects here at the Mill, but check out the latest! He built two Christmas Trees out of our siding made here at the mill, and they look fantastic! Darah and Alysia then stepped in and put their talents to work, and decorated them for us!

We took part in the Festival of Trees for the Health Services Foundation, and the second one will be at the upcoming Katahdin Elementary School Festival of Trees. If you want a chance to win, along with all the gifts under the tree, and to participate in a great cause, please visit and check out all of the trees at the Festival of Trees at Katahdin Elementary School on December 13th, 10:00-3:00; December 15-17, 2:45-4:45; and December 18th, 2:45-5:30.

Support the Trades and donate!

That is precisely what LP Houlton did! We donated this year's Community Grant of $15,000 to the trades program at RSU 29, an initiative designed to provide essential training and career pathways for individuals entering the skilled trades. We believe in the power of skilled trades to build strong communities and provide sustainable careers, and we are truly honored to make this donation.

Jason Little, a teacher for Hodgdon's JMG class, reached out to LP for the 2nd year in a row, asking for donations for the Veterans' Breakfast. Each year, the students from the class rise early, cook, and serve a complimentary breakfast to local Veterans and their families, recognizing their service, sacrifice, and commitment to our country. LP Houlton provided apple and orange juice, hash browns, bacon, and sausage for an estimated 200 people.

Way to go, Hodgdon JMG class, we are proud of you! Home of the free because of the brave!

Caleb Tuttle, our Utility Worker, was hired in January and has been at LP for almost a year. His nephew Roman won the coloring contest for his age group, 9-12 years old! Roman has won a gift certificate to Temple Theater and his very own LP Hoodie with his name on it! Congrats Roman!
