When we started Smokin' Z BBQ in 2014 as a small, family-run food truck venture, our business grew rapidly and our loyal customers would frequently ask, “Do you cater and do you have a restaurant? At that time, our greatest challenge was finding commercial kitchen space to obtain static health department permits because commissaries were not readily available in this area and obtaining temporary food permits was very expensive. In Jan. 2020, we submitted plans to the county and received permits in June 2020 when construction commenced. We were very fortunate to avoid major construction delays with COVID and got our final occupancy in Dec. 2020.
