A customer sent us two pumps to overhaul in 2 weeks. We are run testing the first one now. Next one will be in a few days once assembly is finished.

Let us know if you have a deadline to meet on an overhaul and we will do whatever we can to meet it. And we will load test the pump so you know it will be working like it should when you get it back!

Today is a great day for some reflection. 3 years ago was our first day open as Cajun Pump & Supply. As some of you know, during the peak of the Covid Pandemic, our old company made the decision to shut down our entire branch and lay everyone off. This included 2 people with over 35 years with the same company and the others all with more than 10 years. That left us feeling pretty low, but we had a decision to make. We could either sit at home and wait for companies to start hiring again, or start up a company and try to make it on our own. We chose the latter and it was the best decision we could have made.

Our friends at Cypress Machine Shop, Inc. welcomed us with open arms. They cleaned out some space space in the warehouse behind their shop and gave us a place to call home. We definitely could not have done it without them.

We also can’t thank our customers enough, they made the start up so easy. Not one of them even hesitated when we contacted them to see if they would set us up as a vendor. We truly have the best customers any business could ask for and we cannot be more grateful.

And to our family and friends who helped us along the way, that means more than anyone can imagine. Having people in your corner who you know just have your best interest in mind makes a huge difference.

Then as fate would have it, we got a call one day to make a stop at our old shop. The owners of one of our oldest vendors bought it and wanted us to show him around. Then he made us an offer we couldn’t refuse and we moved back to where we all worked for so many years. That was truly a blessing and we love being back at the old shop.

As we wrap this up, we just want to reiterate our thanks to everyone who has made this possible. The last 3 years has been incredible and we hope we have many many more years to come.

We are currently looking for someone to fill an inside sales position. This will be a dual role of inside sales for Cajun Pump as well as our sister company, Cajun Outdoor.

Prior sales experience is not required, but willingness to learn and ability to catch on quickly is essential.

Pay rate will be determined based off of the interview with the applicant.

Once eligible, employees receive medical insurance, short term disability, paid vacation, paid holidays, and 401k with 4% match.

Cajun Pump & Supply turned 2 years old today. We cannot believe how time has flown by. We want to thank all of our customers, vendors, anyone else who has supported us, and especially a huge thank you to our great team for helping us get to this point. We could not have done it without you and we are forever grateful!

We had a customer call us for loud gear noise on their pump. They wanted us to go and tear down the pump in the field and change main bearings and pinion bearings. That would have been a fairly expensive job. Instead we offered to run the pump on our test stand to make sure it wasn’t an issue in their process. The results are in and it is running perfectly. So it appears the problem is likely a restriction in their piping somewhere. That restriction could cause cavitation which can sometimes sound like a problem in the power end.

We can run most plunger pumps at up to 200 horsepower and 5500psi.

Run testing under a load similar to what your pump will see in the field is also a standard service we offer for all plunger pumps that are repaired in our shop. So if you are looking for a shop that can stand behind their repairs let us know, we would love the opportunity to work with you.

Another Union QX300 heading back to one of our customers. This pump came in for a scheduled overhaul and got a few upgrades while it was here. We installed spring loaded Kevlar packing, made a modification to the fluid cylinder to accept spherical valves, and added a new oil filtration system with bypass to allow them to change filters without shutting down the pump. Then the customer was able to witness the pump running with all of the upgrades while pumping under a load similar to what it sees in the field on our test stand.
