TORKS provides management and amenities for its members with a radio controlled aircraft model airpark in the Deer Creek State Park south of Mount Sterling, OH. Members enjoy flying on a 900’ long by 75’ wide paved runway as well as an adjacent grass strip. The airpark experience also includes float flying off the lake a few hundred yards from the airpark. TORKS also provides for occasional indoor flying events in the Deer Creek State Park Lodge. Electric outlets, picnic areas, and restroom facilities are also provided near the flight line for the members and their guests. Detailed maps and other important information is maintained on the TORKS website: www.torks.com GUEST POLICY: NON TORKS R/C aircraft pilots may use the runway at any time the park is open. The MINIMUM requirement is possession of a current AMA membership card. To use the other amenities of the TORKS Airpark such as the benches, Port A John, shelters, and electric require that a TORKS member be present who is agreeable to be the host of the guest. ALL pilots must adhere to the posted Field Rules located in the shelters especially - NO VIDEO OR PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT IS PERMITTED IN ANY TYPE OF AIRCRAFT (NO CAMERAS ON DRONES or FPV) AT THE TORKS AIRPARK and NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES(Violators are subject to prosecution by the Army Corps of Engineers and/or the State of Ohio Parks Division).
