I've been working on some Bowie knives for a reenactment coming in July. And I've been working on a new to me forge! Thanks to Sammy Williams for helping me with this purchase. Got my fire brick and refractory cement today. I'm waiting on my propane leads. It's a ferrier forge that I've changed just a little. I enclosed one end and will put a door on the other end. One thing I learned from Sammy and his forge, when you close it in it really heats up quick!! I'll be able to do axe heads from the side, which is one thing I've been wanting to forge. Plus wider projects as well. Got the forge mostly done today except for the front door. It'll be 10 days before I can fire it up but I'm excited to start using it. Here's a picture of two! Lol

Middle Cross Forge will be at the Boonville Farmers Market on Saturday June 20th from 8am to noon! Shari's baked goodies will be with him with an assortment of breads! We'll have kitchen cutlery, hunting and skinning knives,I have one Father's Day box and a couple specialized key chains for the dad's. We'll see you there and remember Middle Cross Forge has you covered from the field to the freezer!! I'll have 14 new knives with me and dropping off these 5 at the leather shop tomorrow. My first attempt at forging a couple different style Bowie knives. They are rough but ready for leather.

Middle Cross Forge will be at the Boonville Farmers Market on Saturday! Set up and ready by 8 am. We'll have kitchen cutlery, hunting knives, key chain antler and antler rings. Shari's baked goods will be with me with her baked goodies! I'll have two Father's Day gift boxes with me with a special deal for Dad!

Middle Cross Forge will be at the Boonville Farmers market tomorrow Saturday June 6th at 8am. We will also have Shari's baked goodies with us. My house smells wonderful with all the baking going on today!! I have 3 new knives to show you tomorrow. Two made from a ferriers file and one from one of my last pieces of round stock of well I'm not sure! Great steel and extremely sharp! Lol I also got a split horn fillet knife. Lots of kitchen knives and hunting knives. There are going to be several booths tomorrow so come on out and enjoy the Boonville Farmers Market! From the field to the freezer Middle Cross Forge has you covered!

The wife and I will be at the Back Forty Bluegrass Festival starting tomorrow morning early. The Messengers will be doing a set at 11 am on Saturday and church service on Sunday at 10am. We will unfortunately miss the Boonville Farmers Market tomorrow but we should be back the following Saturday. I'll be busy emceeing Saturday after we get done. Come on out, there will be lots of music all day into the evening Rhonda Vincent, Kenny and Amanda Smith band, Missouri River Band, Throw down Thursday, Mozark Sessions and the Punches family Bobette Punches. They are dry and have lots of music going on today! That is Emily Snapp and I at the steam engine show church service, been doing it for over 25 years.

Middle Cross Forge will be at the Boonville Farmers Market tomorrow from 7-12! Come on by and visit, we'll have knives that work from the field to the freezer! Kitchen cutlery and all the knives for your hunting and fishing needs. Novelty items like deer antler key chains and I will have a few rings that I've made. My brother will be there with his books also. There is a lot of merchandise at the market! Handmade items, fruits and vegetables and if you're like me there are folks selling my favorite part of a meal meat!! See you tomorrow!!

I've sold a few knives over the last few weeks. Enough to keep me going. Good friend Jake dropped off ten for leather for me, I really appreciate that Jake! So the table would have been full if I had those. The three rows on the left are all forged blades and the kitchen knives are bladesmith work. My wife sold most of her homemade bread today, it's sure yummy!! Overall even with the rain we had a good day. I'll be back Lord willing, on next Saturday but we will be gone the last Saturday and Sunday of the month. We will be at the Back Forty Bluegrass Festival in Curryville Missouri. Emily and I are performing Saturday and doing church service on Sunday morning. Here's a pick of what I have left for now, I feel the need to pound some steel real soon. Till next time keep your forge hot and your hammer swinging!!

Middle Cross Forge is headed to Boonville Farmers market in the am starting at 8. It goes until noon! We'll have a lot of new kitchen knives and I just got my batch of hunting knives with new leather today. Picked up 14 (my good friend Jake got them for me!) dropped off 10 more with Jake to take to Ora. My wife has some fine baked bread for tomorrow. Different flavors and sizes! Come on by and visit with us!! Get some bread so I won't have to eat it all!!!
