📈 Thermoseal's Residential Market Snapshot – June 2025
→ Housing starts rose 4.6% month-over-month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.32 million, indicating a continued uptick in new residential projects breaking ground.
→ Building permits held steady at around 1.40 million, up 0.2% from the previous month — a leading indicator that builder confidence is remaining strong.
→ Housing completions, however, slowed to 1.31 million, dropping 14.7% from May and a sharp 24% year-over-year, signaling potential labor or supply slowdowns in closing out existing jobs.
→ The Southern U.S. remains the dominant force in new home construction, with Texas, Florida, and Georgia leading the charge. Texas alone issued 15% of all U.S. building permits in 2024, more than the entire Northeast and Midwest combined.
→ Meanwhile, Northeastern and Midwestern states continue to lag behind in residential building activity, contributing far less to national volume.
🚨 With construction booming in the Southeast, now is the time to insulate smarter. Thermoseal’s USA-made spray foam is built for energy efficiency and jobsite speed, giving builders the edge where growth is happening most.
