Randy stops everything to listen when a different engine drives by and tries to guess year and model - and with tractors even tries to guess the farmer.

OK, Randy doing investigation. What is it and what year? (don't google it)

WE NEED INPUT.
we make valve guides from blanks. We make them to the year needed. The blanks for the early valve guides are different (and much harder to get made) than the later (think 101) type.

We are out of the blanks for the early valve guides and have sticker shock on the price. to make early valve guides now they will end up costing the customer $50 each.

We don't want to make something people won't buy. What's your sentiment on whether this is worth it for us to make or not - will they sell at that price? These would, of course, be 100% correct but there's cheaper imports out there....................

INPUT PLEASE

He just needed an old Indian Scout, a shed full of homemade parts, and more grit than most men could ever dream of.

Herbert James โ€œBurtโ€ Munro was born in New Zealand in 1899, and somewhere along the way, speed got into his blood. In 1920, he bought a brand-new Indian Scout motorcycle. From the factory, it was a modest little machine with a top speed of roughly 42 mph.

Over the next several decades, he rebuilt, reshaped, and re-engineered that bike by hand. He made his own parts when he couldnโ€™t buy them. He modified the engine, improved the aerodynamics, and kept chasing more speed from a motorcycle most people would have retired long ago.

Then came Bonneville.

In 1962, Burt made the long trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. He was already an older man by racing standards, but that didnโ€™t slow him down one bit. He kept coming back through the 1960s, setting records and shocking people with what his old Indian could do.

Thatโ€™s the kind of thing you almost wouldnโ€™t believe if it werenโ€™t true.

His story later inspired the movie The Worldโ€™s Fastest Indian, with Anthony Hopkins playing Burt. If you havenโ€™t seen it, itโ€™s one of those rare movies that car guys, motorcycle guys, and anyone who loves old-school determination can all appreciate.

Burt Munro passed away in 1978, but his legend never really cooled off.

The Legendary Indian Scout ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

The Indian Scout is a legendary American motorcycle model first introduced in 1920 by the Indian Motorcycle Manufacturing Company. Known for its powerful V-twin engine, reliability, and agility, the original Scout was produced until 1949 and is considered one of the company's most important models. The modern Indian Scout, revived by Polaris, continues this legacy with innovative features like a high-revving engine, aluminum frame, and rider-centric technology, making it an iconic choice for both long-time fans and new riders.
