We posted on this job a few weeks ago. At that time, the job was not completed. We were still waiting on the handrails to come back from powdercoat so we could install them. These handrails were at Oneonta Job Corps at the main entrance. The original handrails had been there since the building was built in 1934. The craftsmanship that went into those handrails to last 92 years is amazing. That is the type of craftsmanship and pride that we here at Prentice & Sons Welding take, and hope it shows in every job we do, especially this one. These handrails will be in the public eye everyday. We want them to be a positive and uplifting look to the front entrance of the building.

It's First Responder night at Utica Rome tonight. This means all first responders get in free with proof of being a first responder. Hope to see the stands full tonight. Friday night racing under the lights no better place to be.

We built a roof prop to go on the side of the New Berlin Fire Departments training building. It's waiting to be sent to powdercoat so it can withstand the abuse and wear and tear it will take for years to come. We will post better pictures when installed to have a better idea what it is but it is a training prop for the fireman to simulate ventilating a roof of different pitches. These are a great way for the fireman to practice there skills at a safe hight while cutting on a actual roof instead of pallets.

Here is some pictures of a project we are working on. Right know the job is at powder coat waiting to be colored gloss black and then we will install them. These handrails that we fabricated are replacing the existing handrails, that were built and installed they believe when or close to when the building was built. The customer wanted the handrails to look as close to original as possible. I believe we captured what they were looking for and wanting. Will update when they come back from powdercoat and all installed.

Come out and support Utica Rome Speedway Home of Heros tonight. The racing community has basically donated enough money that it is free admission to get in and there is free food and drink for so many people as well. I know there is free ice cream for the kiddos as well. I know it may be chilly tonight, but hey this is NY and we are use to this type of weather dress warm and come support the best track with the best drivers in the area. Jason Broedel and April LaMunion are to of the best people in the business. Not only do they care about the drivers but they care about the race fans as well. Thats why sense purchasing Utica Rome they have made great updates to the fan area to improve the fan experience. So let's all come out and support the best track in the area tonight by watching racing live from the stands. If you have never been to a race tonight is a great time to come and if you have not been to one in awhile tonight is a great time to come and get your heart back into it. there is nothing like hearing the cars and seeing them go around a track in person. Hope to see you all there tonight.

We have been busy with lots of customers work and request since back from vacation. We have been busy enough that we have not had a chance to post any updates or new jobs we have done. To all our costumers out there, we love this problem. We are glad you all put your trust in us to take care of your needs. The job posted below is a taillight on a customer's trailer that was hit. We were able to remove it and form it back to shape and re-weld it back on the trailer. No, it is not a new taillight. It is the same taillight fixed and re-welded back in place. This is just some of the small things we are able to do here at Prentice & Sons Welding.
