CNC machining is pretty cool, right?! Toolrite doesn’t stop at “pretty cool”! Our Electronic Division, coupled with our CNC Machine Shop and Fabrication, allows for Toolrite to become completely autonomous and self-reliant. While some machine shops outsource for design and pre-production, Toolrite has the means and ability to stay “in-house”. Not only does this give us an edge over our competition, but it allows for unparalleled communication between our electrical, and CNC fabrication departments. From providing concepts and context for parts, to wire harness assembly for fixtures and High Voltage Dielectric testing, our Electronic Specialists have experience that cross many platforms. Some of these include circuit board designing and assembly, low and high current and high voltage control enclosures, and motor and dyne interface with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology. No matter how big or electrifying the design, our Product will always display our Pride!

Inspection is a critical part of the machining process. Every part we make is rigorously inspected by one of our skilled Quality Assurance Specialists and our Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Shown below is one of our specialists using Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machine. This tool can accurately measure an object in 3-dimensional space. It’s quill head (shown below) has an industrial ruby sphere at the tip. With this tool, our Quality Assurance Specialists can check dimensions on complicated geometry that would be otherwise very difficult to inspect. Our rigorous inspection process is one of many reasons why Toolrite Mfg. has been making quality parts since 1967!

No matter your view on Engineers, they are an integral facet in Toolrite’s legacy. Throughout prototyping, pre-production, and production our Electronics Specialists and Engineers provide concepts and designs for our larger and more complicated projects. Our advanced CAD software allows us to translate an idea into a 3D Sketch, to 3D Design and Assembly Drawings, to a Quick Turn Design made and then used by our skilled Machinists for CNC Fabrication. No matter the complexity of the design or application, Toolrite has you covered!

Gage Blocks and Dial Indicators! They go together like peanut butter and jelly! These two tools can be used conjunctively in precise calibrations, setups, and inspection in all areas of precision machining. Gage blocks can be used to calibrate measuring tools and to achieve precise widths or heights for part inspection. A Lever-type Dial Indicator (shown above) is used to align a workpiece in a machine, checking height differences, or to check the runout of a spindle! At Toolrite, we value our employee’s physical and mental health. That is why in the last month, we have finished renovations on our new workout facility, racquetball court, break areas, and kitchen. We also have an outdoor volleyball court and areas to sit and enjoy the weather at lunch or break time. Our grounds also include a small pond and woods where we are visited by ducks, geese, and other little critters.
