Hiring CNC or manual machinist for a built to print custom manufacturing company with a minimum of 3 years of experience. KTM was established in 1971 and now has a diverse manufacturing capabilities that include 15 milling machines mill and turning centers including 7 CNC machines with 4th axis rotary tables. We provide products for Aerospace and industrial equipment manufactures. KTM is not a production facility as we provide various parts in 1-20 piece runs.
KTM currently has multiple positions available for full time positions with competitive wage and benefits.
• 1st shift is 5 days a week of 8 hour shifts
• 2nd shift is 4 days a week of 10 hour shifts
• Flexible hours and overtime is available.
Skill required for CNC machinist:
• Knowledge of G-codes
• Operation and set up of vertical and horizontal machining centers which includes making machine and tool offsets adjustments as needed.
• Ability to setup and run jobs with minimal supervision
• Understanding of blue prints, dimensions and tolerance
• Ability to use micrometers to inspect dimensions and make machine adjustments
• Required to meet quoted times and production schedule.
• Organization skills which include keeping work area clean.
• Ability to multitask.
• Bonus skill: ability to train or manage fellow employees
• Bonus skill: knowledge of MasterCam software
• Bonus skill: continuous improvements by update process and documents in software about set-up, process flow and quality assurance.
Skill required for CNC machinist:
• Knowledge of Mills and Lathes
• Ability to setup and run jobs with minimal supervision
• Understanding of blue prints, dimensions and tolerance
• Ability to use micrometers to inspect dimensions and make features with in print tolerance
• Required to meet quoted times and production schedule.
• Organization skills and keeps work area clean
• Bonus skill: Ability to diagnose repair items for customers
• Bonus skill: ability to train or manage fellow employees
• Bonus skill: Ability to run large boring mills and VTL’s
• Bonus skill: continuous improvements by update process and documents in software about set-up, process flow and quality assurance.
