Last week, we lost someone who meant more to Major League Electronics than words can fully capture.
Gary England, our Vice President of Operations, passed away, and to say that title is to barely scratch the surface of who he was to us.
Gary was Major League Electronics.
He started here 26 years ago as a custodian and worked his way up through maintenance, shift supervisor, and production manager before being named Vice President of Operations in 2019. That journey says a lot about his work ethic, but it says even more about his character.
There isn’t a day that goes by where Gary’s impact won’t be felt in this building.
He wore a lot of hats over the years, but the one thing he did better than anyone was bring people together. Gary had a way of making you smile, making you laugh, and making you feel like you mattered. Whether it was a great story, a go-to food recommendation, or jumping in to finish just about any song lyric you threw at him, he made every day better.
And if you were lucky enough to see it, you’ll never forget the night he turned a Las Vegas karaoke bar upside down, channeling Chris Stapleton under his legendary stage name, “Gary the Barber Beefcake.” That was Gary, full of life, full of confidence, and all in, every single time.
We’re going to miss Gary in a big way. But more importantly, we’ll carry him with us, in how we show up for each other, how we work, and how we keep this place feeling like home.
That’s his legacy.
