I am a light and medium duty ASE certified mechanic that has been in the industry my entire life. I started out a 7 in my grandfathers parts house sweeping floors, delivering parts and eventually working the counter. During this same time I worked with my dad in the machine shop connected to the parts house and learned the basic machining trade. After High School I attended a 2 year course at DMAC
C for diesel Technologies, graduating with a 3.1 grade point. While attending DMACC I began my 13 year career as a heavy equipment Diesel Technician for Ziegler CAT and continued to help at the family business when I could, as well as working on a multitude of different cars, trucks, tractors, Semis and more on my own. Most recently (2013) I began working as a mechanic for the City of Ames, where I experience working on anything from weed eaters to large wheel loaders and dump trucks and became ASE certified in both light and medium duty vehicles.
