90g Saltwater Reef Move & Upgrade!

Several weeks ago, new Spokane client reached out to us looking for a ~50gallon saltwater reef aquarium for the lobby in their natural wellness clinic. Within a couple of days we were able to find a local, used 90gallon system, threw in a deep cleaning, transportation and relocation, additional components, and installation — all for less than their original budget!

The tank had been very badly neglected by the original owner.. While the equipment was functional and in good condition, Red Cyanobacteria was rampant, along with Bryopsis Algae. The few remaining corals were severely stressed and barely open. Algae covered every surface, the sump was in disarray, and only one lone fish remained.

We spent (3) hours breaking the tank down and giving it a thorough cleaning. We had to hold onto the livestock overnight, and the next morning we delivered and installed the system. We added more sand, more rock, a Gyre Circulation pump, and chemical filtration. The following week we added more coral, an Urchin, a Black Brittle Starfish, and a pair of Clownfish! The corals are now fully opened up and looking healthy and happy.

Looking forward to helping this aquarium develop into a stunning showpiece reef!

Emergency 60g Saltwater Reef Move!

We have worked with many home remodeling & remediation companies over the years. When a homeowner has a flood, leak, fire or some other damage to their home or office, often times there’s an aquarium in the way. We will then get a call from the insurance company, saying they need an aquarium moved out of the way, and they’re always time sensitive jobs, usually needing to be done within 24 hours. This was such a job. After a particularly bad thunderstorm, homeowner woke up to find a significant roof leak with water drips and puddles covering most of their main level of the house!

We were not able to get over to their house until almost 9 PM, but successfully got the Aquarium broken down off their wet, hardwood floors, and moved across the house into a room with no damage. Got the tank moved over safely, all inhabitants made the trip just fine, and gave the tank a thorough cleaning while we were at it. Finished around midnight! Homeowner very appreciative and ended up becoming a servicing customer afterward.

One of our client’s 300g saltwater reef aquariums. This was a special one for us.. we took their old freshwater aquarium, designed a new filtration system from the ground up, cleaned out the system, installed everything, and built the tank up to what you see in these photos.

Tangerine Anglerfish!

We custom ordered this handsome fella for a customer a while back, and I had the fun opportunity of hanging onto him for a couple of weeks. He was a natural born hunter, slowly stalking his prey, walking along with his little “feet“.. what an amazing and beautiful creature!
